In 2008, Fer Bulería Became Reserve Champion of Spain

Fer Buleria was born in a time where the Spanish breeders of purebred Spanish horses did not pay much attention to dressage. Although he was talented for both dressage and morphology, a choice had to be made for where to promote the stallion. The resulting choice led to an illustrious career in morphology, with more than 40 medals from Spanish breed championships, and eventually the much coveted title of Reserve Champion of Spain. In 2008, in a very close race with Nero, Fer Bulería secured the silver medal.

When we asked Carles Velasco, owner of the Velasco Gonzales stud, why a PRE dressage horse breeder of today would choose to breed with Fer Bulería, this is what he said:
"In my opinion you want to breed with Fer Bulería first because of his bloodline, full of famous and fantastic brothers and sisters, and becase Fer Bulería himself is one of the most merited stallions in all of Spain. Second, his breeder Mr. Ferrero was interested in buying him back to use as stud stallion and also Yeguada Centurion asked to buy him for the same reason, and expert breeders like Rafael Camacho has bought semen from him, and these people are not silly. But third, and most importantly, you want to breed with Fer Bulería because he is one of the most complete stallions available to PRE breeders today."
